Our obstetrics & gynaecology team looks after women through pregnancy and birth, treats the gynaecological problems that disrupt daily life, and supports couples who are trying to conceive. Your antenatal checks, scans and blood tests happen here, your delivery happens here, and if surgery is needed our own theatres and surgical team are down the corridor — so your care is never scattered across town.

Your pregnancy, step by step
Booking visit
Come as soon as you know you are pregnant. We confirm by scan, run your first blood tests and work out your dates.
Antenatal checks
Regular visits to follow your blood pressure, your baby’s growth and anything that needs watching.
Your birth plan
We agree together how you will deliver, what to pack, and exactly who to call when labour starts.
Delivery and after
You deliver here with our team, then we check you and your baby before you go home — and again afterwards.

Labour keeps its own hours. Mothers booked with us can call any time, and our O&G team will be waiting.

Pregnancy, gynaecology & fertility — your questions
When should I start antenatal care?
As soon as you know you are pregnant. An early booking visit lets us confirm the pregnancy by scan, check your blood pressure and blood tests, start your folic acid and plan your visits. Coming early is the single best thing you can do for your baby.
Can I deliver my baby at Oak Tree?
Yes. We have our own delivery room, operating theatres and inpatient wards, and our team handles both normal deliveries and caesarean sections.
What if I go into labour at night or on a Sunday?
Call +233 20 012 4712 at any hour. Babies do not keep clinic hours, so our O&G team is on call outside the 9am–6pm opening times for mothers booked with us — come straight in.
What gynaecology problems do you treat?
Heavy or irregular periods, pelvic pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts, infections and menopausal symptoms — with surgery such as myomectomy (fibroid removal) or hysterectomy in our own theatres where it is needed.
When should we see someone about fertility?
If you have been trying to conceive for 12 months without success — or 6 months if the woman is over 35 — it is a good time for an assessment. You are welcome to come in earlier if you have concerns, and we encourage both partners to attend.
Is the consultation private?
Yes. Every consultation is confidential and handled with care and respect — for a pregnancy, a gynaecological problem or a fertility question alike.
